ROCK YOUR SOUL

Valerie was born in Carrollton, TX on September 28, 1987. The nurse thought 'Valerie' was a nice name. "It means 'strong'", she said. Her mom agreed on it. So the quiet, semi-fuzzy, and -_- faced baby was named 'Valerie'. Yay. Val’s alive now. Soooo, she causes some mayhem at home crawling around like a dog, walks herself home after school during her years in elementary school…and draws and sings and watches way too much TV. I used present tense in that previous sentence cause I have bad grammar and cause she still does those things. Sometimes. Her older sister (by 6 years) really wanted to learn guitar. Val was kind of ambivalent about it. Diana (the sister) was like "YEAH, ROCK ON...BUT OW THE FINGERS." A few years later, during high school, she met a girl named Katrina. Kat said, "HEY, you like Weezer, too? Let's rock." She showed Val some of her moves on the guitar and piano.

After much making up of chords and random strummingon her sis' old guitar (which she named 'Bob'), Valerie put together some progressions and went from there. In the days of old (or young, rather), Val had learned some piano from her grandma, but all that theory had long since been forgotten. Now, Valerie puts together her songs as result of all that has happened...and may possibly happen to her and others.  Aside from music, you'll find her doing the duty of school to finish her civil engineering degree at UCLA.   Anyways, she has trouble staying focused on one thing too long. So you'll find evidence of her amateur-ish guitar, piano, and drum playing. She also likes to draw, take pictures, play tennis, box, read, have meaningful conversations, look up places on maps, collect bottles, and watch movies. She finds that she is really weird, but even weirder than she is writing an autobiography in third person.
